The "Joint Exhibition for Regional Cooperation in Pearl River Delta on Green Industry and the 6^th Guandong International Exhibition on Environmental Protection", took place on 31 August 2005. The exhibition is one of the major projects regarding regional cooperation in the Pearl River Delta, for the green industry sector.

The Environment Council of Macao Special Administrative Region is one of the exhibition organising entities, which counted on the collaboration of Macao Association of Environmental Protection Industry. The Environment Council organised a Macao pavilion, in which ten exhibitors were accommodated. It aimed to develop conditions to promote Macao as a cooperation platform for green industry among China and various countries, mostly for small and medium-sized enterprises, thus promoting local economy and boosting sustainable development.

Macao pavilion constitutes the following exhibitors: Environment Council; Macao Association of Environmental Protection Industry; Kwan On Chemical Enterprise Company Limited; Clean & Clear Environmental Consultant Ltd.; CESL Asia - Investments & Services Limited; Macao Water Supply; Macao Zhi Xing Environmental Protection Technology Investment Co.; Macao Waste Systems Company Limited; C.E.M.; and Recycled Technology Industry Ltd.

In addition to the exhibition, the "Forum of Pearl Delta Region on Environmental Protection for Water Resources" was held, in which both the Environment Council and Macao Water Supply presented one thesis pertaining to the forum topic.
