The "3rd Joint Meeting of the Pearl River Delta Region on Environmental Protection" was held on 1st June 2006 at Kunming in Yunnan province, in which representatives of various environmental protection departments of this region participated.      Environmental cooperation issues were addressed and approved in this meeting, such as: the works report on the 2nd joint meeting of the Pearl River delta region on environmental protection; the report on the most significant working topics of the 3rd joint meeting of the Pearl River Delta region on environmental protection; the environmental monitoring plan for the Pearl River delta region; and the proposal for inclusion of the water pollution prevention plan at the Pear River basin in the 11th five-year state plan.      Simultaneously, a seminar was held, Ms. Vong Man Hung, the Acting President of the Executive Committee of the Environment Council, had delivered a speech on environmental cooperation between Macao and the Pearl River delta region.
