Aiming at arousing public's concern about the importance of environmental issues and to promote cooperation on the environmental protection in the Pan Pearl River Delta Region, the secretariat of the Joint-liaison Group of Pan Pearl River Delta for environmental protection launched the 1^st photography contest and articles writing on the environment under the motto "Pan Pearl River Delta, Green Region, Harmonious Homeland". The environmental protection institutions of the 9+2 regions are the co-organizers of this activity.

     The context of the design is supposed to be works under the motto mentioned above. All citizens from the 9+2 regions can register in this contest.

     The organizer decided to extend the deadline for text and/or photograph submission until 30^th July of 2007.

     Winners will be attributed certificates of participation, prizes and a collection of prized works. Prized works will be disclosed on the Internet sites of the environmental protection institutions of the regions mentioned above.
