During their stay, the delegation of Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian, Shichuan, Hunan, Guizhou, Yunnan, Jiang Xi and Hong Kong visited Environment Council premises, participated in a preparatory meeting of "Macao International Forum for Environmental Industry Cooperation - 2008" with Environment Council and Macao Trade and Investment promotion Institute, and visited some sites and infrastructures related to environmental protection, such as the Incineration Plant of Macao, the wastewater treatment plant, and MICE. At the same time, representatives of Environmental Protection Education Department of Fujian and Yunan visited some sites of environmental, scientific and technological disclosure and education of Macao.

     It is believed that this sort of exchange might help and increase regional cooperation on environmental issues.
