Inauguration ceremony of the exhibition - "Water for Life"

     The Promotional team for Water Conservation held the inauguration ceremony of the exhibition - "Water for Life", on 21^st November, from 12:00 to 17:00, by exhibiting 29 posters depicting water conservation and technical practices on water conservation, aiming at intensifying the awareness and knowledge campaign.

     The Promotional team for Water Conservation formed by officials of the Environment Council, Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau, Government Information Bureau, and The Macao Water Supply Company, Ltd is holding a series of activities under "Water for Life" in order to deepen the work of the campaign on water conservation awareness as well as to disclose present situation of worldwide water resources.

     The inauguration ceremony of the exhibition - "Water for Life" took place at the leisure zone of Rua Quatro de Iao Hon, and was presided over by the President of the General Council of Environment Council, Mr. Vai Tac Leong; President of Administration Council of Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau, Mr. Lau Si Io; Acting President of the Executive Committee of Environment Council, Ms. Vong Man Hung; Executive Director of The Macao Water Supply Company, Ltd, Mr. Franklin Willemyns; and Coordinator of Salinity Response Task Force, Ms. Wong Soi Man.

     The exhibition approached the development of water consumption in Macao, water pollution and consumption, works on water resources protection and still provided relevant information on the importance of water conservation. The team benefited from supportive officials for explaining residents on the content of displayed posters, and how to organize quiz games aiming at divulging information to population on the importance of water conservation. The exhibition was displayed in several places across Macao among which in Jardim das Flores of Taipa.

     The exhibition "Water for Life" is an activity integrated in the campaign of the Promotional team for Water Conservation. In the future, the team will keep on developing several activities, such as essay contest at schools, e-game, crosswords puzzles and visiting water resources sources.
