1. Organization: "The Promotional Team for Water Conservation" - Environment Council, Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau, Government Information Bureau and The Macao Water Supply Company, Ltd.

2. Aim:Reinforce actions into water saving awareness as well as to strengthen public awareness on worldwide scarcity of water resources.

3. Application requirements: Two applicant groups are considered, both "Public" and "Students".
   
   • Public Group: Applicants must be holders of Macao resident card (B.I.R.).
   • Students Group: Applicants must be holders of a student card issued by Education and Youth Affairs Bureau.

4. Required work content and format:
   
   • Content: Associated to the relationship between human beings and water; the importance of water resources; pressure on water conservation; and other topics related to water saving.
   • Format:
     1. Dimensions: 30"x 20";
     2. Colour: full colour;
     3. Size: 300 dpi or over (original size);
     4. Format: ai, cdr, pdf or tiff;
     5. There must be a space reserved for organizer's logotype and copyright statement, on the lower right-hand corner.

5. Classification criteria:
   
   • Idea (40%);
   • Technique (30%);
   • Creativity (30%).

6. Prizes:
   
   • Public Group:
     1^st prize -MOP 4,000.00
     2^nd prize -MOP 3,000.00
     3^rd prize -MOP 2,000.00
     20 honourable mentions - souvenirs
     
   • Students Group:
     1^st prize -MOP 3,000.00
     2^nd prize -MOP 2,000.00
     3^rd prize -MOP 1,000.00
     20 honourable mentions - souvenirs

7. Date for application: from 01/03/2007 to 22/03/2007

8. Application procedure:Applications should be submitted directly to the Promotional Team for Water Conservation at www.ambiente.gov.mo/water/default.asp

9. Number of works for submission:Unrestricted.

10. Date of submission:from 22/03/2007 to 04/05/2007. All works must be submitted together with an outlined description on A4 paper copy; together with CD-ROM.

11. Works delivery and place:Works might be sent by mail (Post Office's dispatch date will be considered) or submitted to Environment Council, Alameda Dr. Carlos D’Assumpção n.°393 a 437, 10th floor, Macao.

12. Jury:The jury is constituted by representatives of the Environment Council, Civic and Municipal Affairs Bureau, Government Information Bureau, The Macao Water Supply Company, Ltd, and professionals.

13. Results announcement:Disclosure of prize winners will be announced on 18/05/2007, the homepage of the Promotional Team for Water Conservation: www.ambiente.gov.mo/water/default.asp

14. Place and date of prize delivery: To be further announced.

15. Remarks:
    
    • All works must be original with respect to the competitors' authorship and have never been shown to the public.
    • All participants shall take copyright responsibility for the work(s) submitted.
    • All submitted works will not be returned and the organizing committee reserves the copyright to use them without author's consent.
    • Irrespective of the number of works submitted by each competitor, only one work per participant can be awarded.
    • All decision rights are reserved to the jury with regard to final result, consequently complaints will not be accepted.
    • All participants shall agree with terms of the present regulation, otherwise the organizing committee reserves the right to cancel the participation of any contestant.
    • The organizing committee reserves the right to modify the terms of the present regulation.
